France has strongly condemned the bomb attack on a UNFIL logistical convoy Friday at a highway leading to the southern city of Sidon in southern Lebanon, which left six Italian peacekeepers wounded. France demands that full light be shed on this attack. "We urge the Lebanese authorities to do everything to bring those responsible for this crime to justice," the French Foreign Ministry said. France said it cannot tolerate such a breach of the safety of military personnel deployed within the framework of a UN peacekeeping operation who are acting in accordance with Security Council resolutions 1701 and 1937 and at the request of the Lebanese government. It reaffirmed its commitment to the security, stability, independence and sovereignty of Lebanon.
