Egyptian Prime Minister Dr.Essam Abdelaziz Sharaf arrived on Tuesday from Riyadh for a two-day visit to Kuwait as part of his gulf tour which has taken him so far to Saudi Arabia . Sharaf was welcomed upon arrival by his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. In a pre-departure statement in Riyadh, the Egyptian Prime Minister, making his first visit to Saudi Arabia since he was named Prime Minister, expressed gratitude for the Saudi government for releasing Egyptians. He said his talks with the Saudi leaders touched upon bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest Dr. Sharaf also said that Cairo has "historic" relations with the Arab Gulf countries, and considered interference in the GCC states affairs "a red line." Sharaf further said that security of the Cooperation Council for the arab states of the Gulf (GCC) member states "is part of Egypt's security."
