Two Iraqi citizens have been killed and six others injured in explosions that targeted three houses in Kirkuk on Tuesday, the city's Police Director said. "Three houses have been blown up, two of them, belonging to officers in Hawija district and the third to a local council member in al-Riyadh district, killing two persons and wounding six others, along with causing severe damage to the houses," Lt. Brigadier Sarhad Qader told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. He said that "al-Qaeda fingerprints had been clear in this operation, because it had used the same method against security bodies in west Iraq's Anbar Province." Hawija is 65 km to the south of Kirkuk, whilst al-Riyadh is 45 km to the south of the city.
