Merzak Allouache's "Les Terrasses" screened at Cascade Festival of African Film in Portland
PORTLAND (United States of America)-"Les Terrasses" (the Rooftops) directed by Algerian director Merzak Allouache will be screened at the 25th edition of the Cascade Festival of African Film in Portland (United States of America) scheduled for February 6 8th March.
The film evokes in 91 minutes "the story of Aisha, a single mother who lives on a terrace in a popular district of Algiers".
Some 34 films (feature and short ones) will be screened during this film event dedicated this year to the Nigerian movie Nollywood and African women filmmaker, according to the festival's website.
Created in 1991 at Portland in Oregon (north west of the United States), the Cascade Festival of African Film in Portland, which annually attracts more than 5,000 visitors, aims at "promoting the richness and diversity of African cultures" through film.
