Denzel Washington film The Equalizer will receive a sequel.
Sony Pictures officially announced plans for a second movie Wednesday at CinemaCon. Washington is expected to reprise Robert McCall for the film, but the studio did not confirm the 60-year-old actor's involvement.
The Equalizer premiered in 2014 and earned over $192 million at the box office. Antoine Fuqua directed the movie, which is based on the CBS television series of the same name. Chloe Grace Moretz also starred in the first installment.
Washington and Fuqua previously collaborated on Training Day, and will reunite for a remake of The Magnificent Seven.
