In December 2012, a Madrid-based Chilean television crew was hosted by the United Arab Emirates. The crew created content for national channels in Mexico, Ecuador, Chile and the first Spanish-speaking channel in the United States, UNIVISTA. The channels enjoy several million dedicated viewers. The crew covered a large number of subjects reflecting everyday life in the United Arab Emirates , filming in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Two documentaries were aired in both Latin America and the United States. These documentaries show fine examples of tolerance and good spirit which rule the United Arab Emirate and ensure that there is a place for everybody. The first emphasized the religious tolerance in the United Arab Emirates. A priest based in Abu Dhabi was interviewed for this documentary in which he praised the openness of the UAE and its authorities and highlighted how they allow Christians living in the United Arab Emirates to live their religion as they see fit in a beautiful example of wisdom and humility. The second documentary detailed the life of a woman with Ecuadorian origins who settled in Dubai many years ago. The documentary demonstrated how a balanced happy family environment can be created with people from different backgrounds.
