Egyptian actress Ola Ghanem stressed her keenness to diverse her roles and to repeat the roles she previously performed, saying that she refuses the directors attempts to put her in specific roles especially the role of innocent girl that she performed in her drama show “Bridge of Danger”.
She added that she performed different roles, including the ambitious woman in the series “The Shame”, jealous woman in the “Fourth Wife” drama show, and honest sister in “The Seven Girls”,
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that she supports the current trend to present the drama shows outside Ramadan, saying that it was the dream of many actors and producers to extend the drama season to the whole year. She added that the good work is viewed intensively, expressing her pleasure for the success of the TV drama show “Blood Series”.
She added that the Egyptian cinema witnesses currently a state of awakening, a number of films gained international awards in 2016, including “Nawara” film for Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby and “Clash” for Nelly Karim. She added that the producers realize currently the works that deserve to be presented.
Regarding her recent film “The Backbone”, Ghanem said that it was a very good film, while the weak promotion was the main reason for its low viewership. She praised working with Egyptian actor Mustafa Shabaan, saying that he is one of the actors who exerts a lot of efforts in his work to ensure its success.
She added, “I experienced working with a number of Egyptian major artists, including Egyptian actor Ahmed Ramzy who advised her to be more self-confident. She also praised the Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan, saying he is qualified to participate in the world cinema. She expressed her aspiration to participate with him in a future work.
She stressed her love to her daughters, saying that she deals with them as friends. She revealed that she prays to God for giving them the suitable husbands. She added that she hopes that God will provide them with kind husbands.
