Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq Cairo-Shima Mekkawi Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq has told Arabstoday that he is preparing to travel for three days with his family to take a well-deserved break from work. Upon his return, he will finish his mini-album, which is his first in two years. Ehab confirmed to Arabstoday that the reasons behind choosing to do a "mini-album" were that musical production in Egypt was deteriorating and that it was currently the best solution for any singer to distance themselves from the crisis. Tawfiq added: “One single song remains to be finished for the mini-album. The mini-album consists of three songs. It is titled “Gamda Gedan” (Stunning), which is one of the songs in the album and is composed by Ashraf Salem and the lyrics written by Hani Abdel-Latif. I will produce it soon in Egypt, not abroad”. As for religious songs, Tawfik said: “I will release some religious songs in the holy month of Ramadan, but I have not started recording them yet, as I will after the completion of the mini-album. In fact the mini-album idea is a great one, as I can always be in contact with my fans and not be absent from the spotlight for a long period. I am very proud of the mini-album.” The star's previous albums include "Lazem Tesmaa"(Come back to me), which was released in 2009.
