Syrian actress Joumana Mourad Cairo - Mustafa el-Queyas Syrian actress Joumana Mourad revealed her happiness in working on a second series with Egyptian actor, Khaled Saleh, in an exclusive interview with Arab Today. “When I work with him I feel comfortable," Joumana told Arab Today, "He possesses a very positive energy, and brings out the best of my acting ability." She stated the two "make a perfect team" and that she looks forward to working with the actor again. The actress added that she loved working with the crew of the series, affirming her hope in being able to work with the team again, especially director Mohammed Ali. Joumana added that she is very happy for the feedback of her role in the drama series, Pharaoh, where she co-stars with Khaled Saleh. The series revolves around the story of a man named Pharaoh and his journey from rags to riches. Joumana plays the character of Sahar who as a poor girl, dreams of being rich. The Syrian actress said she refused many leading roles as she prefers working with a group, as she did in Pharaoh, adding that "acting is a team game." Joumana added that she has received many offers for movies but has delayed making any decision until the end of the Ramadan drama season. She stated the she seeks to make a "right decision" for her return to cinema. Talking about comparisons to the great late Egyptian artist Tahia el-Karuka, Joumana expressed her delight in being compared to "such a legend" but urged that she has her own style when it comes to her work. With the conversation moving on to relationships, the actress revealed that she would be interested in getting married again, but is "still waiting to meet the right person." “I’m not in a romantic relationship right now" Joumana said, "But I do hope I meet a man who understands me and my work and helps me develop as a person. I always live in love and happiness." As Ramadan nears an end, the Syrian star told Arab Today that she spent the Islamic month in Cairo with her family. "I prefer to spend Ramadan with my family. I try to make various dishes, incorporating Syrian and Egyptian food. During this month, I pray, fast and read Quran, and attempt to be closer to the deity I believe in" she concluded.
