Arab singer Fadl Shaker revealed that he was thinking to surrender himself to the Lebanese authorities to end his problem with them, while he retreated due to his fears over the verdicts that could be issued against him without serious trial. He added that he was thinking to leave Ain Al Helwa camp not to face verdicts while to ensure justice.
He added that he is not a part of any settlement to extradite the wanted people in the case of Ein Al Helwa Camp in the southern area of Lebanon. He added that he has been sentenced in absentia in a case related to the insult of a neighboring state which is Syria.
He added, “What was published over my involvement in the fight against the Lebanese army is not true. It is not accepted to compare between the accusations against me and the other accusations of those people wanted for shooting the soldiers of Lebanese army.”
On the other hand, Informed sources revealed that the retired artist Fadl Shaker is besieged inside his house in al-Taamir neighborhood inside Ain al-Hilweh camp, and meters from the scene of danger and confrontations between extremists and Palestinian factions.
The sources added that the Arab singer is not involved in any deal with the Lebanese government to release those people who have been accused of committing terrorist actions. The sources stressed that the accusation against Shaker is related to his statements against the Syrian regime, as the judiciary accused him of raising tension between Lebanon and other neighboring country.
According to the information, Fadl Shaker's case is related to suspicions about his participation in the battle of the Abra area against the Lebanese army, which he denied permanently. He confirmed that he handed over his group's weapons to the army's intelligence two weeks before the confrontation with the arrested group of Ahmed al-Asir. The same information showed that the case of Fadl Shaker is not the same as the cases of the mouloui, al-arqoub and badr. Rather, it is related to the support of a group that later became enmity with everyone at once, knowing that the artist's support for Ahmed al-Asir did not last long.
