Thousands of children and families flocked to Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Montazah and Heart of Sharjah, during the weekend, to enjoy a plenty of edition of th10held as part of the exciting activities and entertainment showsthe Sharjah Food Festival at the emirate's four premier tourist destinations.
Organised by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the popular gourmet-themed will run until April 9 with an array of culinary-related events and performances presented by internationally acclaimed chefs and artists.
El Côte, one of the most prominent pioneers of street art in Spain, has enthralled the audience at Al Majaz Waterfront with a series of interactive performances that showed his talent and creativity. His performances featured throwing balls and rollers, in addition to spectacular acrobatic shows that captured the attention of children, who shared dancing and pantomime with him.
Riding a one-wheel bike, the internationally acclaimed street artist captivated his audience, bringing joy and laughter to children with his dances and comicperformances.
The festival's visitors also enjoyed comic performances by famous Italian theatre actor “Luigi” who charmed the audience with his fantastic shows accompanied by classis music that represents part of the French-Italian musical heritage.
Best known for his "Sweet Dreams" show, “Luigi” who impersonated the character of funny clown has captivated children and families with his comic skills in using cotton candy made from sugar, amid an atmosphere of joy that engulfed the audience. “Luigi” also charmed children with his funny skills in making muffin cakes and other performances with "Donuts" decorated with various kinds of sugars.
Dressed in traditional Japanese Kimono, Japanese artist “Senmaru” enthralled the audience with some traditional Japanese martial arts tricks, known as "Edo-Daikagura’". In his comic show, Senmaru used a range of Japanese collections used in food preparation, receiving an overwhelminginteraction by children who enjoyed his performance.
The 10th edition of the Sharjah Food Festival, taking place under the slogan “Many Flavours, One Festival”, features a lineup of entertainment activities and live culinary demonstrations by an elite group of celebrity chefs. The 10-day culinary event also hosts popular social media figures and has a range of options and restaurants offered to its visitors.
