Fouad stars in Alwaldah Pasha next Ramadan Cairo - Mohammed Alloush Egyptian actress Dina Fouad has revealed her prominent colleague, Faten Hamama, is her “role model,” expressing her wishes to play her in an upcoming film or television series. Fouad, who is currently preparing for new series Alwaldah Pasha, will be appearing alongside Salah Abdullah next Ramadan. The new series was written by Muhammad Ashraf and directed by Shireen Adel. Speaking exclusively to ArabsToday, Fouad added that the show "revolves around a simple story of a woman, who has witnessed the murder of her husband and left alone responsible for her four children and run the kiosk selling cigarettes and soft drinks." Another series, The Second Wife, is still in development but, Fouad said, filming is set to begin soon. “I am happy these new projects are moving ahead at a steady pace,” Fouad told Arabstoday. “It’s been a great experience, especially having joined big stars like like Ahmed El Sakka and Salah Saadani last Ramadan.” Fouad revealed she preferred to juggle lots of different releases at the same time. “It helps me avoid exhaustion,” she said. “Plus I’m doing my best to show my range in each character I play.” The promising young actress, who previously worked as a TV host, meanwhile criticised the “performance of some media outlets,” she revealed, because they “incite the public.” Fouad refused to return to hosting.
