Egyptian actress Somaya Al Khashab slammed media outlets over “interfering in her personal life” and rejected recent media reports claimed her health conditions are unstable.
In an interview with Arab Today, Al Khashab called on journalists not to report news before contacting her personally.
“I would like to reassure my dear audience that my health conditions are great and I am preparing for a series that is scheduled to be screened in Ramadan 2017,” Said al Khashab.
The shooting of the series, named al “Halal,” was scheduled to start early January but has postponed till the scenario is completed, she added.
“I am currently preparing for my role in al Halal. I am focusing on the very small details of the character and hope the series will satisfy my audience,” Khashab added.
In response to a question related to the absence of her works during last Ramadan, al Khashab said it is not necessary to have a series played each Ramadan adding that the offers she received have not met her requirements.
Al Khashab also revealed she is preparing for two singles that will be completed and released soon.
Egyptian actress Somaya al-Khashab received an award for her role in the controversial Egyptian film 'Hina Maysara' at the ART film awards night in Cairo, late on June 14, 2008. The film which tackles life in Cairo's rough impoverished suburbs was criticized by many as focusing on violence and sex.
