Egyptian actress Mai Omar expressed her pleasure for success of her first experience in cinema, as she participated in film "Last Rooster in Egypt" with the Egyptian superstar Mohamed Ramadan.
She said, "I am seriously happy for the success of my first experience in cinema. It is considered my second artistic work after the TV drama show "The Legend" which achieved notable success among the Egyptian and Arab people.
She added that the reactions to the film from both the fans and critics made her happy, saying, "I was expecting this success due to the high popularity of Mohamed Ramadan who achieved previous successes." She praised the film's scenario and the director.
She stressed, in an interview with "Arabs Today" that she was recommended to participate in the film by the production company, saying that it is the first time for her to participate in a comedy film.
She added that she currently participates in another film entitled "Good Night" with Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni. The movie is written and directed by her husband Mohamed Samy.
Regarding her participation with her husband, Mai said that I hope to resume working with him as he is creative director, while she stressed her participation in other works.
She expressed her pleasure for participating in a new TV show "Adly Allam's Ghosts" with Egyptian superstar Adel Emam. She added that the series is scheduled to be presented during Ramadan.
She added that she will also participate in another comedy series during Ramadan with Akram Hosni and Raja Al Jedawy. She said that this show discusses the ways to choose the life partner in a comedy framework.
She praised the role of her husband to push her forward in the career, saying that sgetis keen to take his advice before participating in any work due to his deep experience.
