Egyptian actress Mai Nour Al Sherif revealed that she returns to drama through her new TV series "God Knows that I Am Fasting" scheduled to be presented during the coming Ramadan. She said that she was absent during the recent period as she was searching for a suitable work. She praised the staff participating in the series, including actor Mustafa Shaban and actress Magda Zaki. She added, during an interview with "Arabs Today", that she was preoccupied in taking courses during the recent period to develop her skills in the artistic career. She added that she decided to take these courses upon the advice of her father who demanded her to work to increase her culture and capabilities to resume her career as an actress. She added that her father, actor Nour Al Sherif was keen to develop his skills until the end of his life. She added that she gained a lot of experience from dealing with her father, saying that he was keen to convince his family with his viewpoints and not to take individual decisions. She added, "He was blessing our decisions as we bear the responsibility of their repercussions." She expressed her pride of her father's history not only on artistic career but also on the ethical level, saying that he gained the respect and love of people. She added that he left great memory with his colleagues, saying that the actors who worked with him still remember his great positions. Regarding her new series, she said that it discusses a number of social issues, stressing the need for diversifying the issues discussed by the TV drama. She revealed that her sister Sara thinks to present a documentary film discussing the life of her father. She expressed her readiness to participate in cinema, she waits the suitable scenario, stressing that she chooses her roles carefully. She added that she is keen to read in both Arab and English literature, saying that reading performs a major role to increase the awareness of the artist. She added that her father's possessions have increasing popularity among the fans, saying that a large number of these possessions are presented in Alexandria Liberary.
