Egyptian artist Ahmed Fahmy stressed that his focus on drama during the recent years did not come at the expense of singing, while he praised the steps he took in drama as they provided him with increasing advantages especially in the roles he performed in his TV series, including “The Preacher”, “The Brothers”, and “The Balance”.
He revealed, during an interview with “Arabs Today”, that he will present a new drama show entitled “With the Highest Price” during the coming Ramadan, saying, “I used to present only one drama show during the recent years. I decided to choose this series with Egyptian actress Nelly Kareem. It is a romantic show in which I perform a role of doctor. We resume filing the series’ scenes during the current period.”
He added that he apologized for not participating in “Land Air” TV drama show with Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razeiq due to his failure to manage the time. He stressed that he is committed to travel to Lebanon weekly to present “Arab Idol” program, saying that he has no differences with any of the series’ staff.
Regarding the cinema, he said that he started filming his new work “Sixth in Achieve” during the recent days, saying that the film witnesses the participation of a large number of superstars, including Dalia Al Behairy, Nahed Al Sebaei and Bayoumi Fouad. He revealed that he performs the role of a security individual who love a girl through Facebook.
He praised the film producer Nahed Faried Shawky, saying that she attempts to achieve thehard equation through focusing on financial gains without ignoring the artistic quality. She is always keen to overcome the different challenges facing the staff.
He expressed his pleasure for the positive reactions to his program “Arab Idol”, saying that the managed to top Twitter trends. He said that his work as the presenter of “Arab Idol” is not away from his career as singer or actor, as the program is related to music and singing.
He revealed that he prepares currently for a new song with composer Hassan Al Shafei, while he will film a new video clip in the beginning of Summer.
