Twenty two Yemeni soldiers are receiving new prosthetic legs from the Emirates Red Crescent.
A medical team from the Emirates Red Crescent began surgeries on Friday to fit prosthetic limbs to Yemeni soldiers who lost their legs during battles with rebel militants.
''Surgeries to implant the artificial limbs for the soldiers are being conducted in the government hospital in Marib, with the Undersecretary of the Marib Governorate, Abdu Rabu Muftah, in attendance,'' said Ali Al Gulaisi, Secretary for the Marib Governor.
He thanked the ERC for the medical and humanitarian assistance it has provided to Yemeni army personnel and resistance fighters in Marib.
