A large number of healthcare professionals, policymakers, executives and aspiring acupuncture practitioners will attend the 2nd UAE International Conference of Acupuncture, to be held here from 13th to 14th November.
The conference, organised by the Lotus Holistic Institute in collaboration with a number of international organisations, aims to promote awareness about this traditional healing method within the country and beyond, and will demonstrate the effectiveness of acupuncture as a medical therapy. Latest scientific research done on acupuncture will also be discussed at the event.
Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to a plethora of experts from all over the world who will educate and encourage the community to use acupuncture, help integrate it with the current healthcare system of the Arab world, and explain to patients, clinicians and the general public how acupuncture can treat several medical conditions.
Besides exploring the latest research and practices in this field, enthusiasts can learn further from an international body of practitioners and researchers, and form a long-lasting network with other experts and organisations in a bid to foster collaboration among scientists working in this space and clinical professionals.
Acupuncture is an ancient medical practice that has existed for more than thousand years and is still one of the most popular methods of treatment. It has a huge influence on later-day medical science.
Lotus Holistic Institute is organising the event in collaboration with the International Council of Medical Acupuncture and Related Techniques, TCM Kongress in Rothenburg, Germany, the largest Chinese Medicine congress in the West, National Foundation for Health Progress and Medical Research Development in Algeria, FOREM, and Indonesian Association of Medical Acupuncture, IAMA.
