Fatima Al Suwaidi from the UAE Embassy in Pretoria delivered the assistance to Professor Andrew Nicol, Head of Trauma Centre, Groote Schuur Hospital.
''The assistance is an expression of love and co-operation between the UAE and South Africa,'' Al Suwaidi said.
Professor Nicol thanked the UAE and SCI for the prompt response to meet the hospital's needs.
Al Suwaidi met with the UAE students attending the University of Cape Town and affirmed the embassy's readiness to provide any assistance so that they can pursue their studies comfortably and safely.
