H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development opened today the new - and first - DNA Health Centre, at the Talise Spa, Jumeirah, in Dubai.
The opening of the DNA Health Centre for Integrative Medicine, Wellness & Bio-aesthetics boosts Dubai's global status as a world-class wellness and health tourism destination.
According to the Global Wellness Institute, wellness tourism has a projected global growth rate of more than nine per cent per year through to 2017, nearly double the growth projection of the overall global tourism sector. The Institute points to the UAE and Dubai in particular - where the sector has almost doubled since 2007 - as a market with the largest potential spa growth.
Sheikh Nahyan said the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, adopted a comprehensive method to enhance the best healthcare through upgrading public health, prevention of diseases, and support all the initiatives related to the public health.
He cited the new DNA Health Centre, which will provide better health services in different medical sections.
"Our luxurious new clinic is a completely new concept for Dubai and the centre boasts a range of lifestyle medicine for wellness, healthy aging, beauty and inner peace under one roof. Offering our guests the chance to relax amongst the tropical landscape and tranquil waterways of Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah is part of the healing environment," said Dr. Nasik Ashraf, Founder, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of the DNA Health Center for Integrative Medicine, Wellness & Bio-aesthetics.
"Our customised DNA testing can slow down and even reverse the signs of aging and can also be used to help manage chronic, lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes and obesity, which are very common across the UAE."
The new DNA Health Centre for Integrative Medicine, Wellness & Bio-aesthetics is also offering residents and tourists its renowned DNA Personalised Lifestyle Medicine Programmes, which range from half-a-day express programs to a five-year Gold membership program, alongside a number of anti-aging, healing, pain management & rehabilitation, relaxation and rejuvenation treatments.
The centre is also offering bio-aesthetic services under the protocols of Hollywood's celebrity Jamie Sherrill - the bio-aesthetician to the stars.
All DNA Health Center's programs and treatments are based on a holistic approach uniting leading-edge Western medicine, advanced diagnostics and clinical therapies, complemented by centuries-old Eastern healing traditions and philosophies.
The DNA Health Centre's integrative and functional medicine approach focuses on treating the person as a whole - combining mind, body and spirit - rather than solely treating separate symptoms.
