Ministry of Municipality and Environment started today 'Healthy Nutrition' event as part of its awareness campaign aimed to encourage healthy nutrition in the community.
The two-day event will take place at Al Mazroua'a Farmer's Market for local products in cooperation with Community College and Al Safwa Farms for organic products. The event will carry different activities such as a presentation on innovative healthy recipes and healthy balanced diet awareness. In addition, the event will distribute free organic produce to visitors to encourage them to eat healthier.
Assistant Manager at the Agriculture Affairs Department in the ministry, Adel Al Keldi said that the Ministry of Municipality and Environment strives to spread awareness on proper nutrition with no chemical .
The ministry will market organic produce by supporting farms that adopt organic farming by providing them with agriculture experts and latest machinery.
Dean of Qatar Community College Abdallah Hazaimeh added that the campaign aims to increase awareness among all segments of the society on healthy eating habits.
