A man has been airlifted by the Royal Air Force from a Norwegian merchant vessel, officials announced on Tuesday.
The Royal Oman Air Force performed a medical evacuation from a Norwegian vessel. The man was injured, and suffered severe bleeding from his eye.
He was airlifted to the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah to receive the necessary treatment.
"This comes within the framework of the humanitarian services provided by the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the Sultan to citizens and residents on the homeland, as well as to persons travelling through Omani regional waters and land," the authorities said.
