In line with the directives of His Royal Highness the Premier to intensify field visits to regions and villages in Bahrain and assess citizens’ needs for health services as well as progress of development projects, Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh paid an inspection visit today to a number of health centres in Muharraq where she met officials and patients and listened to their proposals concerning development of health services provided for them.
The visit was attended by Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Menai, Deputy Governor Zuhair Al Absi, MPs Abdulrahman Buali, Ali Al Muqla, Abbas Al Madhi and Mohammed Al Jowder, Assistant Undersecretary for Primary Care and General Health Dr. Mariam Al Hajeri, municipal councillors and officials from the Health Ministry. The visit also included the centre of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait in Hidd, the centre of the National Bank of Bahrain in Arad and the centre of the National Bank of Bahrain in Al-Dair.
The Health Minister expressed happiness about the meetings, stressing that the directives of HRH the Premier reflect the government’s keenness to boost direct communication with citizens and reach out to their needs. She also hailed the efforts of the MPs and municipal councillors in assessing citizens’ needs and evaluating the health services provided for them.
The Governor of Muharraq expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude of the citizens in Muharraq to HRH the Premier, stressing that his directives mirror his care for all citizens and the quality health services provided for them. He also thanked the Health Minister, praising cooperation and positive response of the Health Ministry officials to the remarks made at the meeting.
The Health Minister called on all officials at the Health Ministry to optimise health services and take all remarks into consideration to study them with the relevant parties.
