The Pharmacy and Drug Control of the Supreme Council of Health has warned against the use of the tea known as Dr. Ming''s Herbal Tea, produced by Chinese Angel Export and Import Company Ltd. The Supreme Council of Health warning against the use of that tea came after laboratory tests showed that it contains the Sibutramine Redutil chemical substance which had been internationally banned because of its serious side effects. The substance was added without being mentioned in the leaflet of that tea, which is considered as cheating and fraud in the promotion of the product. In a press release, issued today, the Supreme Council of Health said according to the abovementioned information, the public interest requirements and the full keenness on the health and safety of consumers in the State of Qatar, the Council warns against the use of this product.It is worth mentioning that Dr. Ming Chinese tea is used for slimming and weight reduction.
