Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, is continuing its anti-cholera awareness campaign in schools and health centres in the Aden Governorate of Yemen.
The ERC team has also established the Friends of School Environment Club here to urge students to keep the schools clean and help increase health awareness.
The campaign, supported by ERC and in co-ordination with the Friends of School Environment Club, aims to tell students, teachers and parents about the means of preventing cholera while taking care of personal hygiene and public health issues. The campaign started last October at one of the schools here and it will continue to reach out to every school in the area.
The campaign also aims to increase environmental awareness among students with focus on preserving the environment and ways to protect it.
