Senior PLO official Yasser Abed Rabbo on Sunday slammed Israeli military strikes on Syria earlier in the day. "We condemn the unjustifiable attack on the sovereignty of Syria," Abed Rabbo told Ma'an, calling on all parties in Syria to reach a political agreement to protect the rights of the Syrian people. Earlier, Hamas denounced the "Zionist aggression on Syria," calling it a continuation of Israel's "policy of terror." The Islamist group also expressed sympathy with the Syrian people amid ongoing fighting, and condemned the killing and torture of civilians. A senior Israeli source said the attacks early on Sunday hit Iranian weapons destined for the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which is allied with the Syrian regime. Print
