Prime Minister, Adel Safar, on Wednesday underlined the close Syrian-Iranian relations during his meeting with Iranian Minister of Transportation and Urban Development, Ali Nikzad. Premier Safar highlighted the strong ties binding the two countries and the mutual keenness to develop and upgrade relations in a way that serves the two peoples and pushes development process forwards and supports the two countries' stances in the face of the conspiracy. For his part, the Iranian Minister underlined his country's standing with Syria and its support to the Syrian economy and stances in confronting the conspiracy targeting Syria's resistance-backing stances in the region. The two sides reviewed the results of the Syrian-Iranian Follow-up Committee for Economic Cooperation and what has been agreed on in this regard. They discussed means of strengthening economic relations through increasing the trade exchange volume and implementing investment and development projects, particularly in the fields of energy, technology , manufacturing and others.
