A spokesman for Jordan's flagship carrier says Royal Jordanian has appointed a new president and CEO. Basil Kilani says Amer Hadidi has been named to head up its operations. His appointment comes into effect on Tuesday. Hadidi, a former adviser to the country's royal court, replaces Hussein Dabbas, who resigned in late May following some company losses due to the Arab Spring uprisings. Before his resignation, Dabbas said RJ was picking up business again with additional routes to Libya. Kilani said Monday that Hadidi, 54, served several times as Jordan's Minister of Industry and Trade.
