Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand said that she was so impressed with the work of Qatar Foundation that she planned to send colleagues to the foundation for education, science and community development in Doha. "Qatar Foundation is doing a wonderful job in education, science and community development, so I wanted to see what they have been doing here," the princess said, as she visited the Foundation. "QF's work is impressive and I am planning to send some of my colleagues here if possible. I like education because it is the means to give more opportunities to people. If people have more knowledge, they then will be more capable of future achievements. I think QF is full of hard-working people who are all very committed to reach to the other corner of the world and I hope to come back to Doha again in the future," said the princess, a history graduate and a holder of a Doctorate in Educational Development. The princess, on a two-day visit to Qatar, toured Qatar Academy, Awsaj Institute of Education, and the Faculty of Islamic Studies. In Thailand, Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is often referred to as "The Princess of Technology", or "The Princess of Information Technology", based on her wide-ranging interest and expertise in the application of science to the goal of national development.
