A Palestinian prisoner Ayman Abu Daoud, 37, arrived in the Gaza Strip on Thursday after a deal to end a 40-day hunger strike, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said. Abu Daoud, ended his hunger strike in May in an agreement with Israeli authorities to be deported to the Gaza Strip after three months. Abu Daoud was freed in a prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas in 2011, but Israel rearrested him in October 2012. Te Palestinian Prisoners Society condemned the decision to deport Abu Daoud and called on rights organization to pressure Israel to stop violating prisoners’ rights. The International Committee of the Red Cross said on Saturday it was “extremely concerned” over the health of seven hunger-striking Palestinians held by Israel.
