Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesperson Samih Maaytah on Sunday visited the Zaatari Refugee Camp near Mafraq, 80 kilometres northeast of the capital. During the tour, Maaytah stressed the need to provide local, Arab and foreign media outlets with the required facilities to enable them to perform their duties in covering news about Syrian refugees. The minister said he listened to the concerns and demands of refugees and promised to refer them to the concerned authorities. Maaytah stressed that the situation on the Jordanian-Syrian border is stable due to the efforts of the Jordan Armed Forces.
