Leader of the Turkish National Movement, Devlet Bahceli, described the current Turkish Government chaired by Recep Tayyip Erdogan as "representative of the imperialist plots which target Syria and the region." During a Turkish Parliament session on Saturday, Bahceli said some parties in Turkey are pushing the country to "the dangerous dead-end in Syria," because the fall of Syria would lead to dangerous developments the results of which no one can predict. Meanwhile, chairwoman of the Turkish Businessmen Union, Umit Poyner, stressed that the stance of Erdogan's government towards Syria is a result of provocations from London, Paris and other capital cities. Poyner called in a statement on Erdogan's government to be cautious over the conspiracy hatched against Syria, pointing out that Turkey is facing economic problems because of the Syrian crisis. For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akvan Company, a leading company in Turkey, Hamdi Akin expressed worries over Erdogan's policies towards Syria. Honorary Chairman of the Turkish Businessmen Union, Rahmi Koc, called on the Turkish Government not to interfere in the Syrian affairs, stressing that Syria is different from all other countries in the region.
