Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy stressed Egypt's stance which calls for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria in a manner preserving its territorial integrity and unit of its people. After a meeting between Fahmy and UN Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Ibrahmi, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdulati said that Brahimi briefed the Minister on the results of his efforts to prepare for the international conference on Syria, and that the two sides discussed viewpoints on developments in Syria. Abdulati added that Fahmy voiced Egypt's intention to increase comunicaitons with various regional and international sides to bolster efforts to find a solution to the crisis in Syria, and that it intends to increase communication with the "Syrian opposition" to urge it to take a unified stance.
