Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has traveled to Germany to undergo treatment on his bothersome right knee, the Los Angeles Times reported. Bryant, who is still recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left foot, has been participating in some light training drills but has not been cleared for full practice with his NBA teammates. Byrant, who had surgery on the Achilles in April, hopes to be ready for the start of the Lakers' season on October 29. The Times reported the treatment on his right knee is not related to the foot surgery. "He knew he had time because he is not getting on the court yet," Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni said. "There is no concern whatsoever." Multiple reports have stated that 35-year-old Bryant is on his way to Germany to receive platelet-rich plasma therapy on his right knee. The 15-time all-star had the treatment performed on the same knee prior to the 2011-12 season. Bryant was initially given a six-to-nine month timetable for torn Achilles recovery. He is expected to return to the team early next week.
