The UN Special Representative for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi arrived in Tehran on Saturday to discuss the ongoing crisis in Syria with Iranian officials. Brahimis visit to Tehran is aimed at preparing the ground for the Geneva 2 peace conference on Syria, scheduled to be held in November. Brahimi is currently on a Middle East tour to seek a solution to the ongoing Syrian crisis. While in Tehran, Barahimi will probably hold talks and exchange views with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, President Hassan Rohani and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on latest developments in Syria, the official (IRNA) news agency reported.
