The trial of Ratko Mladic, the former commander of the Bosnian Serb Army's [VRS] main staff, is scheduled to resume at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague. Mladic is charged with 11 counts of individual criminal responsibility and superior criminal responsibility for genocide, complicity in genocide, persecutions, extermination, murder, deportation, inhumane acts, unlawfully inflicting terror upon civilians, cruel treatment, attacks on civilians as well as the taking of hostages. He was arrested in Serbia on May 26 2011. He is accused of organising the massacre of over 7,000 Bosnian Muslim men at Srebrenica in July 1995. His initial appearance took place on June 3 2011. At a further initial appearance on July 4, a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.
