His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today a delegation from the French Senate led by Head of the Finance Committee, Senator Philippe Marini. HRH affirmed Bahrain's keen interest to consolidate deep-rooted friendly relations and bolster cooperation with France mainly in the economic and trade fields. He praised France's international status and its efforts in maintaining global peace and stability. He criticised some organisations' unprofessional and biased work regarding the circumstances undergone by Bahrain, affirming the kingdom's keenness on adhering to transparency as a principle. HRH the Prime Minister underscored Bahrain's right to maintain its security and stability for the best interest of its people, vowing zero tolerance to terrorism through law and order. He also voiced Bahrain's aspiration to support friendly countries in their bid for more progress and best utilisation of knowledge and technology. For his part, the French official praised Bahrain's political and economic achievements as well as its fast-paced developmental strides spearheaded by HRH the Prime Minister, noting the advanced level of bilateral relations in different fields.
