The revered Syrian singer Assala Nasri will perform in Bethlehem on Saturday as part of an arts festival in the West Bank city. Nasri will perform at the Convention Palace for the first Solomon Pools' Ramadan Nights Festival, which also featured a concert by the Arab Idol winner Mohammad Assaf on Aug. 1. Since arriving in Bethlehem, Nasri has toured the city and witnessed the separation barrier which cuts through the city. Nasri expressed her joy at being in Palestine, and particularly in Solomon Pools, an area threatened with confiscation by the Israeli authorities. Tickers for the two-hour show will be available on the door, unless already sold out.
