Egyptian journalist Ashraf Khalil is to hold an briefing with The Arab American Institute (AAI) at Capitol Hill next Tuesday, January 31 to discuss the situation in Egypt one year after the uprising. Khalil is author of the recently-published book Liberation Square: The Egyptian Revolution and the Rebirth of a Nation and will join AAI president James Zogby in addressing the current hurdles facing the Egyptian revolution and their implications for future relations with the US. He has reported for numerous publications including the Los Angeles Times, The Times of London, and Foreign Policy. Dr. James Zogby is the founder and president of the Arab American Institute (AAI), a Washington DC-based organisation which serves as the political and policy research arm of the Arab American community. Since 1985, Dr. Zogby and AAI have led Arab American efforts to secure political empowerment in the U.S. He is the author of Arab Voices: What They Are Saying to Us, and Why it Matters.
