The five-day Eid Al Fitr holiday for the public sector will begin on Sunday, August 28, the UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said Sunday.Government employees will return
to work on Sunday, September 4, the authority said in a statement carried by state news agency WAM.The dates for the UAE’s private sector have not been clarified but it is expected that employees will receive Wednesday, August 31 and Thursday, September 1 as holiday.The Islamic Crescent Observation Project said Sunday it expected the first day of Eid Al Fitr to fall on Wednesday, 31 August.“Most of the Muslim countries which started Ramadan on 1st of August will have their twenty-ninth Ramadan on August 29th,” ICOP said, in a statement carried by WAM.
