Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak
HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for the Motherhood and Childhood, has received at Al Bahr
palace a number of Emirati woman preachers, who graduated this year with Master Degree in the Islamic Studies.
The graduates were employed by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE).
Sheikha Fatima expressed her pleasure on seeing the preachers, who will carry out their duties at Mosques, schools and among Emirati women, commending the UAE leadership's strategy under President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the empowerment of women to partake in the nation-building.
She urged them to highlight the religious values, tolerance and moderation of Islam to strengthen the family values and community as well.
Sheikha Fatima was briefed about the progress of woman preachers during their rehabilitation and academic courses, supervised by the GAIAE. She referred to the care of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum about the preachers, who honoured them before the UAE's national day anniversary.
She noted that His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received them twice at his palace and accepted their scientific gifts, the copies of their thesis.
For their part, the graduates thanked the leadership for sponsorship and care, pledging that they would do their best in service of the country. They also thanked the GAIAE for employing them immediately after the graduation.
