Sharjah Ladies Club opened the Ebriez Fashion Exhibition at the club’s Kunooz Ballroom on Tuesday, in the presence of Sheikha Aisha bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The exhibition is aimed at providing fashion, accessories, and Eid gifts to women and their children.
In line with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, a portion of the proceeds of the exhibition will be donated to the Big Heart Campaign which was launched in support of Syrian refugee children by Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and the Eminent Advocate of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Open daily between 8-12 July, the five-day women-only exhibition showcases latest Abaya and Shayla collections, dresses, jewellery, children’s garments, Eid garments, home accessories, and gifts in addition to a daily Suhoor and daily draws for valuable prizes. The activity includes children’s areas that offer illustration activities and a range of games.
Commenting on the occasion, Khawla Al Serkal, Director of Sharjah Ladies Club, said: "Donating a portion of the proceeds to support the Big Heart campaign is in line with club’s support of humanitarian campaigns that aim to alleviate suffering of the less fortunate across the world, especially in Ramadan, the month of social and human solidarity and benevolent deeds." Al Serkal pointed out that all the items on display have been carefully selected to fit the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramdan and Eid. She clarified that the club intended to provide Eid items, with enough time before Eid, to give women and children ample time to select beautiful Eid gifts.
Al Serkal added that the club prepared a lineup of exciting activities for Ramadan and the summer holidays, customised to meet the different interests of women, girls, and the little ones.
