Algeria's Workers' Party, Louisa Hanoune
Arabstoday has learned that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has appointed the president of Algeria's Workers' Party, Louisa Hanoune, as the first minster in a new government set to be announced in the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
The same sources said that important changes will occur in the new government which will have new appointments in internal and foreign offices, financial, justice, education, health, culture, housing and urban, religious affairs, commerce, public works, mail, transportation and marine fishing.
Other posts will see changes in ministerial names with tags like water resources, agriculture, transportation, vocational training and tourism.
Bouteflika's new government has been anticipated after a long time post this year's parliamentary elections which saw his ruling FLN retain power. People are especially anxious to see if the President will make good on his promises to execute reform.
