An Ethiopian woman has been detained after attacking her employer in Beirut, Lebanon on Thursday.
The woman, who is a maid, reportedly hit her mistress on the head with a bronze statute, causing
her to lose consciousness. The maid, identified only as Dinkanash, then poured hot water over the woman while she was passed out. Her employer, Samia incurred first-degree burns from the incident.
The assault took place in Samia’s home in the Jubayl district, north of the capital Beirut. The injured woman has been transferred to Um Maounat University hospital. Following investigations made by the patrol of Interior Security Forces, the maid has been prosecuted and awaits sentencing.
