Students protest for the release of their bikes outside a Moroccan school
Security officers have been deployed outside schools and educational facilities in Morocco, to prevent any potential attacks on these institutions.
Witnesses told Arabstoday that the
presence of road traffic police in Marrakech had also been intensified, with officers spotted near traffic lights and junctions leading to schools and colleges.
Authorities have recently launched a campaign to cut down on traffic crimes, with focus on students who have previously breached basic regulations.
Dozens of motorbikes have been seized from students who were riding without valid licences, or helmets.
Students say they are struggling to travel to school without access to a vehicle, during an already stressful exam period.
