Queen Rania joins students in their activities at the Madrasati Winter Camp in Southern Shuneh
Her Majesty Queen Rania on Wednesday paid a visit to the Madrasati Winter Camp in Southern Shuneh.The Queen joined the students in some of their activities at Al Karameh Scouts Camp and checked up on the progress
of the winter camps in other areas across the Kingdom.The camp,organised
by Her Majesty’s Madrasati initiative, aims to occupy students during their school holidays, and provide them with the space to explore their talents and practise their hobbies.
The Queen joined groups of girls participating in various activities yesterday, including the Theatre of Shadows, where the students explore their dramatic talents and the use of drama as an educational tool.
In the Future Workshop, students are trained on planning their futures by learning how to set goals and accept constructive criticism that helps them improve and ultimately reach their objectives.
Other camp activities include Mask Making and student-led initiatives which encourage participants to take responsibility and be more proactively involved in their schools.
Chaperoning teachers also benefit from the camp through the Teachers as Leaders programme, where they take part in a two-day session on leadership and interpersonal skills.
