Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, MICAD, and President of Zayed University (ZU), has opened the Annual Career Fair for Zayed University 2015 at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
One hundred Government and private institutions have taken part in the event held under the theme, "Where ambition and challenges meet: An exceptional generation... promising future... towards 2021." Dr. Riad Abdul Latif Al Muhaidib, Vice-President of Zayed University and a number of the administrative and teaching staff at the university and representatives of the fair's sponsor attended the event.
The two-day fair aims to promote Tawteen (Finding jobs for Emiratis) and training in various departments and companies which are keen on launching programmes in various specialties to meet the need of the labour market.
Sheikha Lubna said the event represents the attention paid by the university to its students by encouraging their potential and harnessing their capabilities in an appropriate way to achieve the national agenda and the farsighted visions of the prudent leadership to develop the homeland of the Emiratis.
She added that the fair represents a linking cycle between the students' academic study and their practical stage and contributes to provide training opportunities for them during their academic year.
