UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has taken measures to implement its 2014-2016 strategy which was approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
, to contribute to the development of the UAE knowledge-based society and the higher education and scientific research sector.
The implementation of the strategy starts with the secondment of UAE students in order to serve social development, organise and ensure quality of work at higher education institutions, boost research according to high competitiveness standards on the way to fulfil UAE Vision 2021.
The minister affirmed that Impartiality, equality, credibility, commitment and institutional loyalty and teamwork are the tools which will enable continuous improvement and development based on its social responsibility.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak said, "The aim is to enhance opportunities for UAE nationals to join the most prestigious universities overseas to meet the demands of the labour market, ensure that all administrative services comply with the standards for quality, efficiency and transparency, as well as to promote scientific research capabilities and innovation to match international competitiveness standards."
