Education in the South is at lowest levels
Moroccan and foreign academic figures revealed that the level of education and studies in the Mediterranean states is very low compared to other peer coutries. These major figures of Morocco's
academia called upon other countries to help tackle this issue and consequently reduce youth unemployment.
Lionel Odrys, general manager of the Second Opprtunity School in Marseille, France, said "governmental policies will fail to realize their goals if they are not associated with job offers to youth. So it is important to provide job opportunity to graduates of public educational institutions as there is no use for a young man or woman to have a qualification which is no use to them."
He suggested the establishment of 'Second opportunity' schools that provide youngsters with sufficient skill sets to enter the job market.
