BBC White City building in West London
One of China’s top universities is planning to set up a new campus at the former BBC site, in West London.
According to London newspaper Evening Standard, Zhejiang University has signed a deal with
Imperial College and is in talks to become a major partner at its development in White City.
Sources have claimed that the site, expected to be named Imperial West, will include a £150 million research centre supporting the work of up to 3000 scientists.
Song Yonghua, executive vice-president of ZJU, said he hoped to establish a joint lab with Imperial.
